overcast

And it's another gray day of death.
The world has pulled her last breath,
and the only thing that's missing is a child on meth.
It's something we expected
with our minds collected,
but it's something that can break your heart in one quick second.
It's like that bowl in the china shop that was just clay.
Hold on to that afterthought it's bound to stay.
Be happy worry 'bout the bigger things,
and realize I'm the person that is listening.
I feel the pull of the mob
and the breaking of the mirrors.
Amazing what a man will do to try to see clearer.
I've got twin pockets and they're lined with love,
But nothing ever changes and that's just because.
